ARP's Abner Mason Convenes Townhall Meeting on President's AIDS Plan
January 9, 2004

As Chairman of the International Committee for the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA), ARP's Executive Director Abner Mason recently chaired a Townhall Meeting on the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief. The Townhall Meeting was held on December 18, 2003 at the National Press Club in Washington DC. The Meeting offered the public an opportunity to comment and give advice to Global AIDS Coordinator Ambassador Randall Tobias and his staff before they begin to implement the President's $15 billion 5-year AIDS plan. The Townhall Meeting was a tremendous success as over 60 individuals and organizations offered oral comment, and over 150 offered written comment.

For more information on the Townhall Meeting on the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief, see the PACHA website at http://www.PACHA.gov.
